Happy 2nd birthday, urban espresso!

urban espresso

Time flies when you’re having fun. As cliché as it is, it’s true.

urban espresso has officially hit the two year mark. The past twelve months since our first milestone have been a rollercoaster of all sorts. There have been ups and downs, extreme highs and extreme lows, but most of all, there have been adventures. Oh, have there been adventures.

I’ll be honest, this milestone is extra special to me, because I never “intended” to start up my own business; let alone thinking that if I HAD started up a business, that it would see its second birthday. I like to think that I’m an “accidental entrepreneur” http://spillly.com/the-accidental-entrepreneur-gabriella-brondani-proudprofile/. An accidental entrepreneur who landed up jumping in the deep end, and had to learn to sink or swim. Very fast.

When you were younger, you were probably told that eating onions would help put hairs on your chest. What people probably didn’t tell you is that starting up, and running a business, would help you develop balls of steel. True story. Running a business isn’t an easy feat. It takes a lot of time, dedication, and passion. There are seriously rough days that will make you question “What on earth am I doing? Maybe it’s time to call it a day.” But then there are days where you conquer the most ridiculous of mountains, and it’s then that you’re reminded exactly why you’re in the game. Luckily enough, the good days FAR outweigh the rough ones.

If you want to learn the true meaning of sacrifice and compromise – start a business. If you want to learn the true meaning of immense pride and unbelievable rewards – start a business.

entrepreneurship

To each and every person who has been a part of urban espresso’s journey up until now, I can’t thank you enough. You’ve all helped shape and mould urban espresso into what it is today, in your own special way. To those we are yet to  collaborate with, you’re in for a treat. The best is yet to come.

Here’s to the next milestone – whatever that may be – and to many, MANY more adventures!
